About The Artist

   I am Tracey W. Davis, a self-taught emerging artist working primarily in abstract acrylic painting and photography. I live in the Atlanta area with my husband, Edward.

I've been a creative for as long as I can recall...from photography and painting to poetry and comedy and a few things in between.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, since I was forced to stop running the streets, I diverted my attention to developing my own take on acrylic fluid art. My intention was to create art that helps others heal. As it turns out, the process of creating was a catalyst for my own healing. 

Pablo Picasso said, "Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist." Through much research, I've learned many rules...composition, color theory, how to frame and hang, how to not cry over spilled resin, the list goes on. There's still a lot to learn. There always will be. But I am confident in my ability to break the rules. So, through Damsel Toad Creative, this artist is emerging.
